The Polkadot ecology, Jambo’s development design (1)
JAMBO insists on deepening the value of on-chain traffic and improving the accuracy of blockchain information, so that the advertising network can provide transparent, efficient and stable communication services across industries. Therefore, based on the Polkadot framework, Jambo develops a new ecology. Before introducing Jambo’s technical design, let’s take a short look at Polkadot and way it is so amazing:
Polkadot is a special public chain, which is composed of multiple chains. It tries to solve the problems of scalability, speed and cost. It allows the existence of more personalized blockchains, as well as interoperability and upgrades between chains. Chains using Polkadot are also allowed to self-govern.
Polkadot not only supports the transfer of tokens, but also supports the transfer of data between different chains. Its ultimate goal is to become a cross-chain network protocol, making cross-chain registration and cross-chain computing possible.
Relay chain
In Polkadot, there is a central chain that connects all blockchains, which is the “relay chain”. The parallel chain is connected to the “relay chain”.
This relay chain + parachain architecture is the reason why Polkadot can achieve scalability. Multiple chains can process transactions parallel instead of one after another. Through this Polkadot can have higher throughput, faster speed and lower fees compared to the current Ethereum.
Soon Polkadot will even allow to add a relay chain to the relay chain to realize the chain in the chain, and achieving greater expansion.
The parachains on Polkadot are also different from the chains on Cosmos. They have shared security, which is an important reason for attracting developers to build parachains on Polkadot. Because, it is not easy to build security for blockchains from scratch.
Parachain
Parachains on Polkadot are interconnected, and they can achieve interoperability. The starting point for the design of the Polkadot parachain is that Polkadot believes that each blockchain is personalized, and different chains can focus on specific areas. In the end, each chain serves different needs. For example: some focus on trading, some focus on lending, some focus on asset management, some focus on games and so on. The idea being that a parachain that focuses on a specific area, may perform better.
Substrate
To facilitate developers to build parachains, Polkadot provides a framework for building blockchains, Substrate, which supports developers to quickly start and run custom blockchains.
Substrate is a modular blockchain framework, so it is a blockchain programming framework that contains various tools, various supporting infrastructure, tutorials, videos, seminars, documents, etc., specifically designed for building blockchains . They are blockchains that may have nothing to do with Polkadot. Substrate is the first framework to build blockchains. These blockchains can be completely independent, just like the Polkadot relay chain. They can exist independently and can complete specific tasks.
Substrate allows developers to build blockchains similar to building Lego according to their own needs. The blockchain built through Substrate can not only be interoperable with other parachains on Polkadot, but also can be connected to other blockchains (such as Ethereum) through a token bridge.
Features of Polkadot

Polkadot can support an unlimited number of blockchains and connect them together.
